A highlighter can be used to lighten and brighten your complexion. Applied on the cheeks and above the brow bone and even down the bridge of the nose. Basically any "high" point on your face that would normally be lit by the sun or light. Highlighters come in many different formulas that can work with any skin type. Some come in powder form, creams or liquids.

I know I'm late to the game, but I recently started wearing highlighters and I really love the look. Since I'm a bit older, I like to keep it to a minimum only on my nose and tear duct area. I would use one on my upper cheeks if I could find one that is close to my skin color. So I'm on the hunt. If anyone can recommend an affordable one, that would be great!
