Thigh-high boots date back centuries, originally worn by men; think riding boots, pirates or the Musketeers. Over the years women co-opted the boot making them the sexy, erotic boot we know today. Since the 1960’s, designers have made the thigh-high boots a high fashion item. With the likes of Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, John Paul Gaultier and Louis Vuitton creating their own versions, it is no wonder fashionistas of all ages rock the thigh-high boot.
