Illi, the sexy boutique in Seattle’s up and coming downtown neighborhood, South Lake Union, has unique, wonderous and affordable apparel from a variety of the most sought after designers. Janelle Lancaster, Illi's founder, was motivated to open up her own boutique after moving to Seattle, Washington and finding that there were missing elements in Seattle's retail clothing industry. Lancaster felt that there was a niche to be filled through providing fashion-conscious consumers a place where they could purchase couture items from high-end designers-but at more affordable prices. Most high-end designers have different lines that target various levels of the consumer market-from very costly couture fashions to more affordable high-end fashions. These lines are called 'diffusion lines', like M Missoni from Missoni and DKNY from Donna Karen.
