Larissa Haisten

"Laramar 7 is the result of effort, time and money meeting knowledge, skill and experience."

Larissa Eakin Haisten of Atlanta, Ga. didn't know that she would ever be a clothing design entrepreneur but she did know at an early age that she wanted to work with clothing. While working as a fiber optic transmission equipment instructor, Larissa had an idea for a better bra. She was part of a mass layoff and that freed her to pursue her bra idea. Larissa taught herself patternmaking and sewing and applied [that knowledge] to her bra. From that bra came the entire Laramar 7 clothing line that expanded with tankinis, one pieces, bikini bottoms, shirts, shorts, skirts and pants and lined fitted jackets. Larissa combined her design, patternmaking and sewing skills with her knowledge of garment production and retail sales and has logged in 15 years experience in the apparel industry- 5 years in retail, 5 years in garment production and 5 years as a consultant and clothing design entreprenuer. Laramar 7 is the result of effort, time and money meeting knowledge, skill and experience.

Designer Facts:
If I could have a famous designer revamp my entire wardrobe I would choose Nanette Lepore. She makes beautiful, creative, whimsical feminine clothing that I adore.

I loved Taraji P. Henson as well. She looked flawless from head to toe. I also liked Jaimie Alexander, it was different and fun. What was Heidi thinking? Her dress was definitely my least favorite.
