Chaquita La'Nae of Florida, fell in love with fashion ever since she can remember. But she pursued it seriously in 1997. While in high school studying Musical Theatre, La'Nae was often ridiculed for her unique fashion attempts. Her peers just didn't understand it or want to accept it. However, taking her hand-me-downs and creating her own expressive art to wear provided her with great comfort and excitement. She merged her theatrical attitude with her reconstructive techniques to produce one-of-a-kind show stoppers. Realizing that a traditional career path was not for her, La'Nae obtained a Bachelor's degree with the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Fashion Design.
