I am Tena Renee’, a fashion accessory designer of a different kind in Chicago, Illinois. I have been handcrafting and designing earrings, bracelets, necklaces and purses for over three years. I first started my accessory line back in July, 2005 after departing as a legal secretary for a law firm.

One weekend I had my niece, Mariah over and we decided to go to the craft store and purchase beads to make bracelets for ourselves and the next thing you know, I realized that I was truly on to something with making jewelry. And since fashion was never going out of style, I wanted to bring an “uncommonly” style of accessories to the game. I didn’t think that my earrings and purses would get so much attention everywhere I would go. I immediately had some business cards made.

I came up with the quote, “If you don’t get attention, your earrings will” and felt that it would be the perfect quote for my style of accessories. My friends and family would call me and tell me how many compliments they received in a day by wearing my “uncommonly unique” earrings. I decided to register for a free account on MySpace to take advantage of free advertisement. I soon gained a large fan base and added the PayPal logo on my page for payments. I would have interested buyers to leave comments under the style of earring and accessories they liked and then click paypal when ready.

Designer Facts:
If I could change one thing about my closet I would have a much larger walk in closet with plenty space and shelves for my thousand pairs of shoes, lol!
