Michele Bege

"I have always felt that anyone that wears my jewelry also wears the energy that I put into the piece. Most people comment on the beauty they feel when they see or wear my jewelry. That is the energy that I feel when I create. It is beauty that is tangible."

Michele was born in Orlando, Florida. And traveled all over the world. Finally, settling in South Florida. In school, she was more of an artist than a designer. She attended art classes every year in school and started college as an art major. Michele attended several institutions of higher learning. She began her academic career at Miami Dade Community College, she then moved on to Broward Community College, Barry University and finally Nova Southeastern University. But admits that much of what she knows about jewelry specifically is self taught. She has also taken classes at different museums to learn techniques in silver clay.

As a visual artist, Bege was featured a few times in the Sun Sentinel. And she was part of a group of artists that had studios at Oceanwalk in Hollywood and sometimes appeared in Oceanwalk magazine. She was also featured in Southern Women and in several city papers writing reviews of art shows.

Designer Facts:
If I could bring back any fashion trend it would be clothing that is costume-like or a bit theatrical. Medieval, Renaissance era, ultra contemporary.
