Asake Agoro

“My passion for individuality is apparent in every work I create, for me the wow-factor is non negotiable in my hand made garments. I love to enter a room and make heads turn.”

AsakeOge Couture was founded by Asake Agoro from Nigeria. The Label was launched February 2009 at the London Metropolitan Fashion and Dance Charity Show when Asake was invited to come up with a collection for the fundraiser.

A third generation seamstress, growing up around the creative energy in a couture household enabled her to design and make garments for herself from the age of 15. she honed an innate skill by working with local tailors to produce one-off pieces that soon drew the attention of those around her who requested to have garments made for themselves.

The Asakeoge label has since styled artists and personalities for events and went on to be runner up for the African Tourism Awards. Asake has also been nominated for the Best Female Fashion Designer for the BEFFTA Awards 2010.

Designer Facts:
If I could bring back any fashion trend,it would be harem pants. You gotta love them. Comfortable, hides the lumps and bumps. MY male friends detest them but i think they should NEVER go out of fashion.

I loved Taraji P. Henson as well. She looked flawless from head to toe. I also liked Jaimie Alexander, it was different and fun. What was Heidi thinking? Her dress was definitely my least favorite.
Hey what was your favorite and least favorite dresses from the Emmy's? One of my favorites was Taraji P. Henson and I'm sorry but Heidi Klum's dress was a hot mess!
And if you really want to be dapper in your suit, match the tie to a handkerchief. Your shirt can also be a bold color or print. Have fun with your outfits!
I think the tie is the one place the man can show some individuality and style, so I would say go ahead an wear vibrant colors or fun, funky prints, whatever. I think it would be fun!
