Tracey Vest

"My accessories appeal to the “girl” of all ages. They look just as fabulous with a cocktail or evening dress as they do with jeans and a t-shirt."

Tracey Vest creates magnificent handbags and fabulous accessories using fun materials such as an array of beautiful colored feathers, leopard print and faux fur. In addition to creating her designs, she writes daily fashion articles for Prior to selling her designs she worked in both Retail and Wholesale and later the Internet Industry. Tracey has had no formal design training and considers herself a “one man band”. Her designs are inspired by old movies, family photos and her two Grandmothers. She was captivated by magazine photos of formal events where women wore gorgeous gowns and accessories, and she still is. In addition to creating she enjoys movies, reading and exploring for inspiration. My favorite description of my designs is from one of my stores, “They make people smile”.

Her designs are now sold in boutiques in Boston, Los Angeles, Alabama and Cincinnati. She has even had sales in Canada, Hawaii and a friend even took a few to Italy. Tracey has also donated to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer foundation, Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer, and several groups that help battered women and terminally ill children Like Me Fine in Raleigh, North Carolina. The hit show, “Ugly Betty” used her bags as part of the background sets. It was non-paid and no press but an accomplishment, none the less.

Designer Facts:

If I could bring back any fashion trend it would be the trend where ladies always wear a hat, gloves and purse.

I loved Taraji P. Henson as well. She looked flawless from head to toe. I also liked Jaimie Alexander, it was different and fun. What was Heidi thinking? Her dress was definitely my least favorite.
Hey what was your favorite and least favorite dresses from the Emmy's? One of my favorites was Taraji P. Henson and I'm sorry but Heidi Klum's dress was a hot mess!
And if you really want to be dapper in your suit, match the tie to a handkerchief. Your shirt can also be a bold color or print. Have fun with your outfits!
I think the tie is the one place the man can show some individuality and style, so I would say go ahead an wear vibrant colors or fun, funky prints, whatever. I think it would be fun!
