aki Wear Productions, headed by Vaughn Glover of Cleveland Ohio, recently celebrated over 18 years of promoting African-American and minority fashion designers. Every year for the past 18 years Waki Wear productions has hosted a fashion competition to provide a platform to showcase up and coming designers.

This is the second Battle of the Champions which is held every five years. Once designers have won first place in the annual Fashion Knockout Competition, they are not allowed to compete again. The Battle of the Champions is the only way for these past winners to compete again.
