I happen to be in Italy right now and have spent several days in Rome. What strikes me is that all women wear pants with skinny tapered ankles, not a straight-leg pant in sight. And a boot-cut pant would look so out of place here! With boots of any length and high-topped shoes, the pant legs are tucked into the boot/shoe. Do not bring your white athletic trainers to Rome!
