What is your dream occupation?

I would love to work with young women to teach them self-esteem and body image through style, just as I have done myself.

What is your favorite activity or hobby?

I love to cook. Other than outfit photos, photos of the things I cook fill up my camera!

What makes your hometown special?

(Hamilton, Canada) So many things! We have the best of a big city and a small town. Our award winning university and teaching hospital. And one of my favourites, the James Street North art district.

This cart is one of the unique ways I store my jewellery. It is a cart of drawers from a home store.

I use a men’s tie rack for necklaces.

One of my favourite outfits. I also wear it with a skirt.

One of the craziest things in my closet is this skirt. I love the uniqueness of it and it only cost me $5.

What would be your dream vacation?

I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland to explore that part of my heritage.

What is your favorite or best feature in or of your closet?

My jewelry and the creative ways I have found to store it. I especially love jewelry that my great grandmother made.

What is your favorite outfit in your closet?

I have many favourites. One is my pink ruffle top and black swing jacket with either black pants or a black pencil skirt.

What is your craziest thing/outfit in your closet?

The amount of shoes I have is pretty crazy. So is my graffiti skirt.

This casual outfit is made up entirely of clearance items. The entire outfit totals $40 with accessories.

Me and my cat. His name is Salem Vincent and he is climbing on the chair back behind me. He brings such peace to my life.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

I have always wanted Alexander McQueen’s clothes and Sarah Burton is doing a fine job with the collections. I have to give the final choice to Project Runway winner Sunny Fong (VAWK) who creates things that would fit right into my everyday life. What I appreciate about both McQueen and Fong is the something different they bring, something that I always try to look for in my outfits

Who are your favorite artists (painters, writers, musicians etc.)?

I like the psychological fiction of Jonathan Kellerman and lately I’ve been really into Kate Voegel and City and Colour.

What is your favorite classic movie?

The Sound of Music. My family used to watch it every year.

What is your favorite magazine?

Vegetarian Times, Food and Wine, Popular Photography. My interest comes and goes.

If you could have a dinner party and only invite 5 people who would they be?

The Beatles and Bobby Flay (who would help me in the kitchen!)

What is your greatest accomplishment and why?

Recovery.
