yCloset.com caught up with one of the runway shows, "Convergent Evolution" Art to Wear featuring several local designers: Vivianne Valerius, Jacinta Ligon, Valeria Krasavina, Vanessa Tapia, Jessica Alma and Luis Valenzuela. The show also included accessories designers Felipe Tonette and Alex Zapirain. The show was excellently styled by Waina Chancy.

The activities at the Albion Hotel for the week included trunk shows, fashion shows and exotic art exhibitions. EcoArtFashion Week™ featured Eco friendly Art Fashion collections and various multimedia art/fashion projects including Luis Valenzuela “Art to Wear” creations, “Catalytic Clothing” video art which was a public experiment between Fashion and Science. And “Endeavour to purify the air we breathe” which presented the brainchild of artist/designer, Helen Storey who is Professor of Fashion and Science at London College of Fashion/Center for Sustainable Fashion and chemist, Tony Ryan(PVC for the Faculty of Science at The University of Sheffield). The show highlights the accomplishments of people from different worlds whose minds have come together over recent years in highly successful art and science collaborations.
