– Monica Botkier
Monica is of Polish and Russian descent and still speaks Polish although as she admits, rather badly.
Monica is a Capricorn.
In response to pronouncing the brand name: “It’s totally phonetic, you do pronounce each letter. BOT-KEY-AIR.”
Monica is a fan of elephants. They are family oriented, have great memories, and remind her of Ganesh an Indian deity and a wonderful trip to Asia in 1997. In fact, she used a tiny elephant charm on a bag she designed with her good friend Joy Bryant in mind. The charm's were so popular that a cottage industry of selling just the charms popped up on ebay.com.
