I've outdone anyone you can name - Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Strauss. Irving Berlin, he wrote 1,001 tunes. I wrote 5,500.

I would love to have the boots!!! And perhaps one of those funky polyster SUITS! I would turn it out with a pair of 70's style platforms...LOL!

I love James Brown. I saw him in concert once over Halloween while I was visiting the states. He was fantastic. I would LOVE to have the whole set of SEX jumpsuits. They're like an art piece when displayed together.

When I'm on stage, I'm trying to do one thing: bring people joy.
James Brown was the acclaimed 'Godfather of Soul'. He was also referred to as the 'King of Funk' and the 'Hardest Working Man in Show Business'. James Brown has won numerous awards including Grammys and a Kennedy Center honor. He was also one of the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This 'Soul Brother Number One' has been a major musical and cultural influence throughout the world. His style was undeniably unique.
James Brown's showmanship was legendary. He was such an accomplished entertainer that his performances would generally bring his audience members to join in with their own 'superhuman' dancing fits! These electric moments were only eclipsed by the effect that James Brown ballads had on his audience members. These few but mighty ballads would dramatically bring the house down. The concerts were always full of fun sexual tension, bold movements and great emotional ups-and downs. James Brown was truly a one-of-a-kind performer and he was an impossible act to follow.
At age 73, James Brown passed away. He had more than 50 Top 10 hits on the Rhythm and Blues charts and 17 of those were number one hits. James also had several sensational crossover hits that registered on the Billboard charts. A few of his songs included: 'Try Me', Papa's Got a brand New Bag', 'Get Up', 'Hot Pants', 'Say It Loud' and 'Living in America'.
Although he will be missed, he has left us with a legacy that will be forever admired. MyCloset.com is fortunate to have had the opportunity to view, first hand, some of the items that made this man James Brown: the entertainer the man! We will be forever in awe of his style and we are proud to be able to have taken part in this historic Christie's auction.
