Hats have always been a unisex accessory and the fedora is no exception. In 1889, renowned actress Sarah Bernhardt sported the fedora while starring in a play and soon after the hat started to gain attention amongst women’s rights activists. Then in 1924 the most influential man in fashion, Prince Edward, started wearing the fedora. Men of all walks of life quickly followed and the trend began. Today we see both men and women donning this stylish, pinched hat with a wide brim. Actresses Salma Hyek, Cameron Diaz and singer Beyonce' have gotten in on the trend and look fabulous.
