ay R. Duarte started designing in 2002. Since then he has created the phenomenal Fashion Explosion fashion show, now in its 8th year. This year showcased exciting new designs. Elegant mens suits and fashionable womenswear. Every occasion was represented, from casual to evening and businesswear.

Also showcased were the fashions of another local designer, Deborah Rosemin, as well as a comedy routine, two live singing performances and a dance recital. But the main attraction was definitely the runway show. The models strutted down the runway to the latest songs, closely following the skillfully choreographed cadences while they moved to the beat. The skits and props were well thought out and executed. Business attire was completed with the use of briefcases and cell phones, while evening wear brought out the models' MAC makeup compacts.

Fashion Explosion is an exciting, exhilarating and an exceptionally well executed exhibition. Designer Jay R. Duarte plans to take this show across the nation and entertain the masses. The future plans are to exhibit Fashion Explosion in a wide range of popular American cities such as Orlando, Detroit, St. Louis, Atlanta and Chicago.
