I agree Daphne, Sarah Jessica Parker's whole look just did not work. Especially the hair.

I missed the red carpet special but I saw the Oscars. I liked Queen Latifah's, Oprah Winfrey's, Sandra Bullock's, Miley Cyrus and many others. The surprise miss was Sarah Jessica Parker. I love her but I thought the gown she wore was a hot mess!

James, I watched the red carpet special last night and agree; overall the gowns were so elegant and glamorous! I liked most of what I saw, although a few of my favorites were Sandra Bullock and Vera Farmiga in Marchesa, Rachel McAdams and Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab, and Helen Mirren in Badgley Mishka. Anyone else have any favorites?

Good afternoon MyCloset. Did anyone watch the Red Carpet special for the Oscars last night? Some stunning designs were out there,
James     3/8/10
Thanks! Im glad if people think its helpful or informative.

Oh, I just watched the Project Runway episode tonight (had it recorded)... Loved it! Has to be hard to make fashion out of unique items/materials.

Tigeress Kitten, your blog is great. Very informative. And I missed Project Runway too. But that challenge sounds interesting. Can't wait to see the reruns.

I missed Project Runway. I'm going to have to TiVo it like I do American Idol. That does sound like a great challenge. I hope they show the repeat soon.

Did anyone catch Project Runway last night?? The only fabrics they could use were from a hardware store and they had to design a complete look with an accessory. Some people did really well and some.....not so much. I really like these types of challanges, it shows off the designers creativity.

Hey MyCloset people I see there are some new fashionistas out here. Loving the styles I'm seeing.

OMG! Did you take a look at WindyChristine's closet? Her style is fabulous!

I saw the Fashion Show and I was not impressed either. I think it was only on for one season. I like Kelly Rowland, but she was really mean in some of the scenes.

Melonee, I think the show you are talking about was called The Fashion Show. I thought the show was underwhelming and so I never got into it. I do like Kelly Rowland though; she is a very talented young lady!

NIce article on my pal Kimora. I saw the show that Kelly co-hosted on Bravo one time. It did not really appeal to me, did anyone like it?

Daphne, "The September Issue" is out on DVD. And funny enough I just received from Netflix CoCo Before Chanel, the French movie with Audrey Tautou. I will let you know how it is! I am really excited about it, although I have yet to see the movie they did about CoCo Chanel with Shirley Maclaine.

I like the articles too. Such interesting people in America.

I really liked the article on Kimora Lee Simmons and Kelly Rowland. They both have such great style.
Moniette     3/1/10
No Eliza. I hadn't heard about that but it sounds fascinating! I saw an advertising for a new movie about CoCo Chanel. I fwould love to see that also. Let me know the date and times of "The September Issue". Which network?
Daphne     2/25/10
I just saw a preview for the documentary "The September Issue". Has anyone seen the movie? It is about the putting together of Vogue's Sept Issue. I am totally intrigued and just added it to my netflix!!

Daphne, I loved that the designers had to work with children, espeically the ones who looked afraid of them! Great challange!

I love C.Madeleine's. You could just look through the place and be inspired by everything!
paulina     2/21/10
I didn't realize New York Fashion Week was here already. I thought the snowstorns had delayed everything.
Claudia     2/21/10
Did you check out C. Madeleine's? I can't believe all the different eras represented there.
