Much of their hope is pinned on their combined talents in women’s wear. Both designers have received high praise for pieces such as Wyatt’s chic, sci-fi (but not too out of this world) raincoat with bell sleeves and gathers in all the right places. Orr’s talent for pleated and other feminine details brings down the house at local fashion shows – and even garnered her high marks from wedding and evening gown design star, Luly Yang.

Is women’s wear gone for good from their repertoires? Probably not. It could mean that Wyatt Orr becomes a line for both sexes. Orr said, “There are lots of different things that could come out of Wyatt Orr. We’re seeing where it goes, I guess.”

What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

KO: I really don't have one major fashion faux-pas that sticks out in my mind. I think the best fashion moments come when you take risks and with risk there is always the chance of a faux-pas.

Survival of the fittest: What is one item in your closet that you will never get rid of?

KO: My cowboy boots - they never go out of style and go with almost everything, I will always own at least one pair.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

KO: I wouldn't choose any one designer - that is what I like about style and fashion, its like a story about the person - a collection of all types of pieces, from different times, designers, places, cities, cultures. I think having one person/designer re-vamp my wardrobe would take away from what makes it unique to me.

Name an actor/singer/celebrity whose wardrobe you admire the most.

KO: I think Zooey Deschanel has great style, she is always wearing something interesting, and she has some great dresses!

What are your best and worst fashion purchases?

Best fashion purchase would have to be several of the dresses I have found at vintage shops and antique stores, they are great, timeless and I will have them forever. I don't really have an all time worst fashion purchase, I think the good and the bad have to come together, I usually try to salvage my not so good purchases by altering them to my liking.

If you had to describe your personal style in one word, what would it be?

Ever-changing

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

KO: Cloche Hats from the twenties, they are kind of making a come back now, and I hope it sticks.

What culture, country, or city has the most impact on how we view style today?

KO: I am sure this is different for every individual, that is what's so great about personal style - of course Paris, Milan, New York are some of the cities that have a lot of impact.

What's the next trend for women's fashion?

KO: That is a hard one - I just hope tights stay "in" for a while, I love them.

Other than Project Runway, what's your favorite TV show and why?

KO: I don't really watch much TV, when I do I usually watch cooking shows. I love to cook when I have time and am not sewing.
