The tremendous interest in my designs came about when I joined the fashion-based site, Model Mayhem. The same day I posted my designs on the site it crashed my cell phone (my email is forwarded to my cell). I was so overwhelmed by the positive comments by top stylists, photographers and models that wanted to work with me. It was such an incredible response. Then came time for the fall fashion season in Miami where they were looking for emerging designers, I sent in photos and the casting producer said she loved my style. Since those two events my life has been busy non-stop.

The "To Dream Of Destiny" has a true meaning behind it, I truly feel I was reaching my design destiny, not because things were picking up for me, but because I finally came into "the type of designer I would be" which was a hard thing for me because I can make anything. But that's not what makes a great designer. I hadn't built a brand or a look for anyone to follow, and now I have. I have always been extreme with my design capabilities but was afraid no one would understand, so I followed what I thought people would like, not what I loved. Now my motto is "Love it, wear it, hate it, keep it moving. You're not in my league anyway!" The ''To Dream Of Destiny" collection was born on the thought of development (architectural edge) building a collection and a style. I knew I wanted to step out of the box, but in an avant-garde manner with a touch of couture elements. It is funny how the sleeves came about, I actually ran out of fabric for the original sleeve I wanted so I had to ad-lib, and "WOW" something beautiful was developed.

Some of the most recent developments: Cover of Style-Ology Magazine, Urban Mainstream online magazine spread and cover, voted 33 creative minds you need to know in 2010 by South of Fifth Magazine, Fashionizblack on-line magazine, full spread and cover (France), JaDore Magazine spread due out in Feb 2010 and fashion spread in Level magazine due out also in Feb 2010. Funkshion Miami Fashion Week 09 Emerging Designer, Ft Lauderdale Fashion Week ‘09 featured emerging designers which I showed along with Europe’s top designers. I had the honor of dressing Y'Anna Crawley for the Celebration of Gospel and Miss Cuba, Jamillette Gaxiola. I'm current working with more artists to be announced at a later date.
