There are a few benefits to using the new wand over the old clip iron. One, you don't get that crimp mark on your hair that the clamp creates thus rendering your curls more natural looking. You can also control the size of the curl because the wands are interchangeable. If you want bigger curls in the back and smaller in the front, just pop off the barrel and insert the desired size. With the old curling iron, you would have to own several of varying sizes to achieve the same result. Also since the end of the hair is not clamped to the iron, there should be less damage to the ends of your hair. Have you tried using the clipless curling wand?
