How long have you been collecting these items?

I've been collecting matchbooks for almost 30 years.

Give us a little background on your collection

My collection consists of matchbooks that I have collected throughout my travels. Some are from restaurants, hotels, resorts or casinos.

How did you develop an interest in this particular collection?

The first time I went to Las Vegas in 1979 I noticed they had so many interesting looking matchbooks that I just started collecting one from each place I visited.

What approach did you take in starting this particular collection?

Since I traveled quite a bit, it was easy to just start picking up a matchbook before leaving the hotel, restaurant or wherever.

What are your favorite specialty items in your collection?

I have a matchbook from my favorite restaurant, Fogo de Chao which was from Dallas and Atlanta. Then I have one from Hot Gossip in Hong Kong. I also like the ones that I have from Las Vegas.
