• Carol began her modeling career after she was spotted waiting tables during her freshman year at Hofstra University.

• Carol then dropped out of school to move to Manhattan where she became one of the biggest models of the 1980s.

• After a long career modeling and appearing in exercise videos, she began acting in European films.

Carol has written many acclaimed books based on a raw food diet, has a skin care and cosmectic line called 'Raw Essentials', by Carol Alt, and she has written fictional books on modeling as well.
