Diffusion Lines are on the Rise

What do you think of Diffusion Lines?

Designers are always looking for new ways to reach a variety of consumers in an effort to increase revenue and their brand recognition. Over the past couple of decades, designers have been creating a secondary, more affordable line of fashion and accessories, also known as a diffusion line which is sold alongside of their higher priced items. And in some cases the designer collaborates exclusively with certain stores designing specific clothing and accessories that is only available at that store. Some secondary lines you may recognize include Miu Miu by Prada, Marc by Marc Jacobs, McQ by Alexander McQueen, DKNY by Donna Karan, Michael by Michael Kors and Lauren by Ralph Lauren. The collaborations between well-known designers popular chain stores include lines like Prabal Gurung for Target, DVF for GapKids/babyGap, Chris Benz for Anthropologie, Simply Vera for Kohl’s, Lanvin Clothing for H&M, Isaac Mizrahi for Target and Versace for H&M to name a few. High-end designers are now readily accessible for fashionistas at any price point.
